They enjoyed retirement in Florida for over ten years and in 2004 they moved to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to be closer to family and the beach.

George enjoyed listening to music, dancing and traveling around the world. He used his computer and ECHO smart speaker, to continue learning daily, and stay current with sports scores, and stock quotes. He was a loyal fan of the Boston Celtics, Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Until his last breath, George had an active mind; remembering and sharing many life experiences, listening to music, asking questions, posing challenging math problems and always willing to tell a joke.
