Gwendolyn M. Button

Gwendolyn M. Button, 79, passed away on August 19, 2021.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Hazel Phelps Godbey.

Gwen was a homemaker. Her days were filled by spending time with the love of her life, her children and grandchildren. She loved reading and playing games with her friends and family. Gwen also enjoyed going to church and square dancing.

Survivors include her children, Pam Johnson (Randy); Mark Button (Melissa); and Annette Suggs (Greg); a sister, Bonnie Bronstein; her 6 grandchildren, Nikki (James); Dusty (Brittany); Nathanael (Sammy); Dylan (Summer); Jax and Olivia; her 6 great-grandchildren Ian, Kaleb, Emma , Dalton, Wyatt, and Deacon. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert O. “Bob” Button, Jr.

Visitation is scheduled at 1:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Beach Assembly of God Church of Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
