Sam,your girls, Bobby Ray and families, there are no words for the sadness I feel for all of you. I met Helen over 50 years ago.

When we first met we just clicked. We we both living in Fayetteville. She had the first of you three girls. Then she got pregnant with Bobby Ray. I followed with getting pregnant with my daughter Jennifer. Helen gave the most beautiful baby shower. As soon as Jennifer was born

I moved away and Helen did also. Through the years we would talk and catch up on our families. We have always had that friendship that you never have with someone unless they were your best friend in life.

My daughter Jennifer went to heaven in 2006. It is a blessing to know Helen and Jennifer are in Heaven where there is no more suffering. I will always cherish the memories I have of Helen. Please know all of you are in my prayers.

I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful lady. I enjoyed so much the time we spent working together at Hoskins. She was always so kind and her work ethic was incredible. She will certainly be missed by everyone. Please know the entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers. May God hold you all in his loving arms and bring you comfort.

I remember meeting Helen and the first thing that strikes you is how pretty she was. I soon realized she was as pretty inside too. She always made me feel welcome in her home and treated me with kindness. My heartfelt condolences to my brother Bob and his sisters.

There are no adequate words to describe our amazing mama. She was a bright light that lit everyone's day. She was no ordinary woman, she had a way about her that made you feel loved and accepted no matter what or who you were. She never made me feel that who I loved mattered to her in the least as long as I was happy. She loved my partner just as she did my sisters and brothers spouses. She just believed is love...period!
I'm so blessed to have had a mom that was so giving and so loving. When she hugged us we felt it in our heart and soul.
Mama, thank you for being our queen, our teacher, our nurturer,, our heart and soul. To say you'll be missed is the biggest understatement ever!
Rest peacefully beautiful angel....

Helen was really a one of a kind woman! I met her as we work together at Hoskins restaurant, in 2007. She welcomed me as a friend, And always had a special light in her eyes. She always kept a smile on her face, and always knew how to say just the right things when you were feeling down and out. She will be missed, heaven gained a beautiful angel!

My sweet Nana was so special to so many. To know her was to love her. She had a great sense of humor, and never knew a stranger. She was such a beautiful, elegant, special lady that really knew how to love, and show love. Any time I was about to see her from being a child I would look in the mirror checking myself head to toe that I was presentable. If not she would be quick to pull you aside to tell you that you needed to hide your bra strap or Comb your hair. She cared about her family so much, she literally would do anything for anyone. Something else about my Nana that everyone knew was her devotion to The love of her life, my papa Sam. Watching them together over the years taught me so much about love. The way they looked at each other, anyone around could feel the love beaming from them. He took care of her until the very end. I know Nana will be waiting for him in heaven. My sweet nana took such great care of herself, even during the last weeks of her life she looked so beautiful. She birthed 5 children and didn’t even have one stretch mark on her body. I serious bet that there isn’t anyone in this world that used more lotion daily than she did. Her skin was always so soft and beautiful. Every time I seen her I’d find myself rubbing her arm. I think everyone in our family is guilty of that. We sure are going to miss our beautiful Nana. I know my sweet daughters are going to treasure their memories with her. The way she looked at them always could bring tears to my eyes. She constantly would tell me how much they reminded her of me when I was little. I’m going to miss the look she gave everyone, that smile, and tinkle in her eyes.
I love you Nana 💔

Helen always made me feel comfortable when we visited. She just loved everybody. We shared a laugh once over the way that Crystal walked. Helen loved her very much and took her into the family like she had always been there. You will be missed Helen.
