Hilda Carol Hewett Suggs, 71, of Tabor City, NC passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Born in England, Hilda was a daughter of the late Ernest and Hilda Rodriguez Hewett. She was the devoted wife of the late Danny Jay Suggs.
Surviving are her children Matthew Suggs, Joshua Suggs, and Samantha Suggs; grandson Gabriel Suggs; and her sister Ann Strickland. She is preceded in death by her brother David Hewett.
A dedicated and profound educator, Hilda inspired and enriched the lives of all she taught. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Everyone who knew Hilda admired her with great respect and she will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, beginning at 11:00 at Sandy Plain Baptist Church, 6824 Swamp Fox Hwy E., Tabor City, NC, 28463. A memorial service will follow at 12:15 p.m. at the church.
