Homer Gene Temples, 73, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, died Monday, March 19, 2018. He was born March 7, 1945, in Columbia, SC, the son of the late Homer Temples and Mary Ridgeway Temples.
Homer Gene was crowned the “King of Hearts” in high school and lived every moment fulfilling his station. Homer’s life work was a contractor, building, remodeling and making old new again. He had an eye for all things beautiful from the smallest details to grande finishing. Homer was loved and returned those feelings to children, grandchildren, family and friends and those friends became his family. He will always be remembered for his openness, sharing ideas and opinions. His heart was big and he loved like no other. He greatly enjoyed being outdoors tinkering around his “beloved” marsh and sitting by a fire, one that he could keep going for days. Homer loved watching his birds eating outside his door and seeing how many would come to visit through the day. He will be missed tremendously and thought of daily. Until we meet again….. enjoy watching sunrises, the storms that pass and clear the dance floor with your grace. May you have endless Oreos, good Louisiana coffee, peaches and big bowls of chocolate ice cream waiting for you!
A celebration of life will be held on April 7th – time and location to be announced.
Homer is survived by his son, Dwayne Temples (Fredda); daughters, Gena Temples Stogner (Jack), Shawni Temples Register (Darrin), Tara Gene Temples, Lisa Willis & Julie Watts; one sister, Joyce Temples Lucas; brothers, Clarence Wayne Temples (Karen) and Donald “Flash” Temples; grandchildren, Amy Temples Baswell (Josh), Ashley Maria Santana, Elizabeth Paige Register, Alexandria Bryce Stogner, Anna Leigh Register, Ellis F.
