Ron (Ronnie) Plowman, age 70, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina stepped through Heaven’s gates on October 14, 2026. Ron was born April 30, 1956, and grew up in Charlotte, NC and North Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a master machinist, spending the bulk of his career with Trane.
Most knew him as Ron or Ronnie. He was a devoted and loving husband, a father and stepfather, brother and friend to many, most of whom he considered family. He wore each of these titles with love, strength and pride. He showed all of us that family means more than just being related. We are born into families, and we are blessed to call others we choose to be a part of our family. He loved fishing and he loved having a good time. Dancing with his wife, and sitting on the porch and visiting with family, friends, and neighbors were some of his favorite things. The knowledge and stories this man shared, along with the love, laughter, lessons and memories he created, will forever remain treasured in the hearts of his family and friends. We are truly blessed to have known him and to have been a part of his life. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in the beautiful memories he leaves behind. The love he shared and the lasting impact he had on the lives of those around him will be forever cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his wife, Robin; children, Jennifer Plowman (Jason), Justin Plowman (Lauren), Stacey Liles (Rob), Jamie Decker (Mike), Matthew Sutton (Savannah) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sisters, Janea Plowman (Bill), Tonya Young (Les) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or services according to his wishes.
