James Francis Bailey

James Francis Bailey, 77, formerly of Bridgeport, CT, died April 12, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 7, 1940, he was the son of the late James and Jacqueline Trishman Bailey.

After high school, he joined the Army, where he excelled in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Special Forces Division, following in the footsteps of his father. In 1995, Jim retired from IDS Financial Services and Divisional Vice President with American Express in Waterbury, CT. Jim and Heather moved to Longs, SC (just outside Myrtle Beach), where he was an avid golfer. He joined the South Carolina Golf Association as team leader of the Slope Team and rated almost all the golf courses in the area.

Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Heather; three children, Bonnie Foldvary of Shelton, CT, James M. Bailey of Milford, CT, Theresa MacDonald of Shelton, CT; the mother of his children, Gloria Fedor of Monroe, CT; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister, Denise.
