James Patrick Glair

On March 18, 1977, Jim married the love of his life, Lynne B. Glair combining their families to include seven step-siblings. In 1993, after a career in healthcare administration, he and Lynne moved from Buffalo, NY to Little River, SC. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jim enjoyed golfing, traveling and most importantly, the company of Lynne. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit, courage of his convictions and unwavering love for his family. He will be greatly missed by friends, family and neighbors.

Surviving are his children, Robert Glair (wife, Jackie), Fran Glair (wife, Beth), Tammy Guy, Betsy Syposs, Donna Beck; grandchildren, Jamie Koban (husband, Matthew), Ryan Bockhahn (Miranda), Connor Glair, Christina Glair, Jeremy Beck; great-grandchildren, Adelynne, Grayson, Camden, Olivia, and Madison. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Glair Pawloski. He is preceded in death by a son, James Guy and daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Hanavan.

The family would like to thank his neighbors, Dale and Joanne Easter and Kevin and Marie Krown for the friendship and comfort provided to him over the past few years.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. The family invites friends to honor his memory in their own way. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566, is assisting the family.

The family requests memorials be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
