James S Roscoe

James Stephen Roscoe 89 of Conway South Carolina formally of Richland, went to be with the Lord February 15, 2020 at Conway Hospital.

Born January 29, 1931 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of Stephen and Dorothy Mae (Havice) Roscoe. Preceded in death by parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy (Dottie) O'Connor Roscoe; daughter Cynthia (Joseph) Zeigler; and son Kevin (Daphne Lopatic) Roscoe; grandchildren, Stephanie Lucas (Shawn), Eric DiLoreto (Heather Goggin) and Tayler Roscoe; great-grandchildren, Cole and Chase Lucas, Alexi and Remi DiLoreto.

Jim was a graduate of Richland High School. He was a Marine who served in the Korean War, 1st Marine Division. Jim retired from Commercial Credit Corporation and Owner of Dreams Unlimited Travel. Jim was former secretary of the Geistown Little League, Manager of Richland Pony League and involved with Highland Booster League. Jim played baseball for the Johnstown City League in the 1950's and was batting champ in 1951. First enjoyment in Jim's life was playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim and his wife Dottie enjoyed traveling. Jim loved sports especially watching great grandsons play all sports.

Jim will truly be missed by all especially his family.

Military Services will be conducted at Florence National Cemetery, Florence, SC February 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
