Jan A Lang

Jan Alice (Wolfe) Lang , age 80, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026. She was born on April 20, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Daughter of the late Kenneth and Carolee (Turner) Wolfe. Jan spent 20 years in Orlando, Florida with her mother then later made her home in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a place that became her dream and a special part of her life.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Carolee Wolfe, and her beloved son, Michael Nicholas Lang.

She is survived by her brother, Kent (Cynthia)Wolfe; daughter, Lisa Lee Lang-Owens; grandson, Shane Allen Blasius (Erika Blasius); granddaughter, Heather Lynn Miller; great-grandchildren, Ainsley Jackson (Zoba Jackson), Alyssa Blasius, Nash Blasius, Harper Blasius, Simon Miller, and Scarlet Miller; and great-great-granddaughter, Holland Jackson. She also leaves behind many cherished family members and dear friends who loved her deeply and will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Jan was more than a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a woman who loved life, family, friendship, and making memories. South Carolina was truly her dream. She loved the beach, the warmth, the beauty of the area, and most of all, the joy she found in Carolina shag dancing.

For more than 20 years, Jan enjoyed the Carolina shag lifestyle and the happiness it brought her. The music, dancing, friendships, and memories she made along the way became an important part of who she was. It was something she truly loved and enjoyed.

Jan will be remembered for the love she gave her family, the friendships she treasured, and the joy she found in the life she created in South Carolina. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she leaves behind will live on through the many people who loved her.

Final arrangements and details regarding her burial in Fort Wayne, Indiana, will be announced at a later date. A memorial celebration of Jan’s life will also be held in South Carolina in the near future.
