On Monday, May 25, 2026, our family lost a beautiful mother, grandmother and sister. Janet passed away in the early hours of Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for those who have fallen before us. Her loss was unforeseen and too soon.
Janet loved her family. She was so thankful for each new day and was captivated by an early sunrise or evening sunset at the end of the day. Janet found joy in the simple things; a bird landing on her fence or a butterfly fluttering through her beautiful flowers. She was loving, kind, and a friend to all – she loved to talk and laugh.
Janet loved sharing holidays with her family. She treasured each trip to Charlotte and Virginia Beach. The ocean, sunsets and being with loved ones brought her tranquility and peace.
She loved making new friends and enjoyed many friendships, playing bridge and enjoying concerts at the church. Janet’s faith was strong. When faced with uncertainty she would simply say, “I’ll leave it to God”.
Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss. We can all be thankful for times spent together. She always brought happiness wherever she went. Be comforted knowing she is now resting with loved ones and at peace.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Dee Ann (Reiner) and husband, David Langford; her son, Kurtis Dean and wife Tracey Reiner; granddaughters, Nicole and Samantha Mitchell; Madison, Abbey and Carly Reiner; step-granddaughter, Lizzy Diaz; step-grandsons, Jeremy and Bradly Langford; and great-grandchildren, Hazel, Stella, Leilani, Jett, and Bennett.
