John, I have so many happy memories of our days growing up together. I wouldn’t trade them for anything! The world is a much sadder place without you in it. It hurts to think that maybe you couldn’t get help when you needed it most, especially when I think about how you spent your lifetime helping others in their time of need. You were a great protector here on earth; I know you will continue to protect from above. Thank you for your friendship and for the laughter and the good times. I feel very lucky to have known you! You always had a way of making me laugh and lightening my spirits. I could always count on you. Which reminds me--I’m counting on meeting up with you again in the next life, so please convince Saint Peter to let me in when I get there. Thanks! I owe you one, as usual. Hey old friend, we played on the field together for many years and those days are some of my fondest.  I am saddened that you came up short on the timeline we all have for each other but I am proud to have known you so long.  I am a better man for knowing you and that’s a great legacy.
