
Jack was born on April 13, 1939 in Lakewood OH and son of the late Norman and Irene Frey.
In 1957, Jack graduated from St. Edward High School in Lakewood, OH and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was retired from IBM, Washington State (ACES Project) and an independent contractor as a systems engineer (computer programmer). Jack was a volunteer EMT, firefighter and Captain for the South Bay Fire District 8. He was also a marshall at The Golf Course at Hawks Prairie (formerly Meriwood) in Lacey, WA and the Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. Jack was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Jack enjoyed being with his family, playing golf, making golf clubs, reading, playing guitar, watching John Wayne movies, Blue Bloods and NCIS. He was a member of Carolina Master Chorale and the Olympia Choral Society.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, North Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his children, Greg (Velissa); Christine (Tom); John (Ashley); Cindy; Tom (Angie); Dennis (Rebecca); Matthew (Hayley); and Mark; his grandchildren, Trevor; Tiffany; Megan; Searlait; Peter; Luke; Patrick; J.P.; Ryan; Kyle; Anna Kate; Kylee; Zachary; Cameron; Taylor; Noah; Josh; Savannah; Hudson; and Owen; a great grandchild, Aurora; brother, James (Debbie); sister, Mary; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen and Jeanne. Brothers George, Robert, and Larry; his sister, Noreen; and a grandchild, Cindy Beth, preceded him in death.
