He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC. Son of the late Zetta (Patterson) and Floyd L. Mayberry , Sr.
He was a member of the Air National Guard. Retired as a district manager for the Charlotte Observer.
Entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill.
A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Calabash Presbyterian Church, 8820 Old Georgetown Rd SW, Sunset Beach, NC 28468.
Frankie is survived by a brother-in-law, Ronnie Sharpe. Two nieces; Theresa Cline and Brenda Mayberry. A nephew, Dale Mayberry. Friend, Jerlene McLemore.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd L. Mayberry, Jr., two sisters; Suzanne Costner and Martha Sharpe.
