

Early in her singing career she performed with Vic Stuart's orchestra at Euclid Beach Amusement Park. Later, she competed and won on the Arthur Godfrey Talent television show in New York City. Jackie also went on to sing with Ray Anthony's orchestra as well as Henry ‘Hot Lips’ Levine.
On April 30, 1955, Jackie gave up her show business career to marry WNBK program director Mr. George W. Cyr (formerly a WWII B-24 Squadron Commander; later Director with the Bicentennial Commission of the 13 Original States). They were married for nearly 26 years until his passing in February 1981. After that, Jackie went on to a successful career in Hospital Administration in New Port Richey FL.
Upon retirement Jackie joined Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and served as a volunteer Eucharistic Minister to shut-in members. She also became fully professed as a Lay Carmelite and enjoyed the Carmelite ministry immensely.
Jackie is survived by her five Loving Children Darcie Spruance, Melody Callahan, George Cyr and wife Sharon, Johnna Moore, Christopher Cyr and wife Samantha, Raelene Cronin, and Jackie's thirteen grandchildren: Christopher Lane and wife Vanessa, Jeffrey Lane and fiancee Amy, Samantha Moore, Jerica Moore, Kaylie Law, Logan Law, Chloe Law, Porter Cyr, Brandon Cyr, Bella Cyr, Ava Cyr, River Cyr and Scarlett Cyr. Jackie is also survived by many loving friends including her Carmelite brothers and sisters.
