She was one of my absolutely favorite teachers. She was tough but kind and taught me at a very early age (4th grade at Avery Elementary in Hilliard, Ohio) to believe in myself. I enjoyed her support throughout life - even as my pen pal over that past few years. Mrs. Stinemetz - thank you for the love, support and believing in me too. I will miss you and your letters dearly.

I hope my mom was there to welcome you to heaven......

Ellen will be greatly missed. My mother (who is 98) still mentions that Ellen taught a lesson on unconditional love and helped Mom totally understand it. She was a great teacher. She loved her children, and her eyes lit up when she talked about her grandchildren. She is truly missed.

Sweet Ellen! We met at Little River Methodist Church. Ellen, a friend and mentor to so many; a very special kind of friend for me. We have been Facebook friends since my hubby and I moved back to Maine. I visited her when I went back to the Carolinas to visit family and that was a very happy reunion for us.
I pray that her lovely family is comforted by my love for her and for the fond memories they have for God loving Ellen who shared knowledge, gave so much of herself and remains in the hearts of many.♥️

For a beautiful person I've known for many years. She was like an Aunt to me. Always had a smile and a great Mom to learn things from. I highly enjoyed all the time and memories I had with her when visiting Daryl and Yvonne. Like Daryl said, Heaven has another Angel.

I met Ellen when she brought Yvonne to my VBS class at St. Mark's UMC in Columbus Ohio. Whenever I think of Ellen I see a snapshot of her with a huge smile and eyes twinkling with fun. She was full of fun, faith and love.
Yvonne, I am sending you a big hug and prayers that your precious memories of your mom will bring you comfort.

I knew Ellen from St. Marks UMC in Columbus,Ohio. Ellen was one of the first to greet me when I started going to St. Marks. Ellen made me feel like family right away, it was definitely one of her great assets. Although I haven’t seen her in several years, I have always had a special place in my heart for her and her family.
Prayers and Blessings to All
