

Joyce Hunt Bellamy, 93, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Clarendon, NC, Joyce was the 7th of 14 children born to the late Henry Clifford and Letha Mae Nobles Hunt.
Mrs. Bellamy was the faithful and loving wife of the late Merlin L. Bellamy. They celebrated 65 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2012. She was a devout Christian lady who was well respected, kind, and loved by all who knew her.
Following 31 years (and two days), Joyce retired from A&P Tea Company where she was head cashier. A talented baker, she was known for her ‘famous’ pound cakes that she generously shared with those she loved. Joyce was an outdoors enthusiast who worked tirelessly in her garden growing beautiful flowers and also enjoyed fishing in the creek, sewing, reading and working jigsaw puzzles. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were most important in her life and wonderful memories will forever be treasured.
Surviving Joyce are her children, Johnny Case (wife, Mary), Patsy Bellamy Duncan; grandchildren, Matt Duncan (wife, Brandy), Ashleigh Simmons (husband, Alan), Kevin Duncan (wife, Danielle), Arielle Case, Jonathan Case (wife, Kaylee); great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Maddi, William, and Avery. Her brother, Ruie Hunt and sisters, Fay Palmeri and Patsy Hinson also survive her. Joyce was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Isaac “Bill” Duncan and ten siblings.
The family of Joyce Hunt Bellamy, 93, will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
