

Juanell Campbell Dowty, 83, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed peacefully on December 12, 2019 at her Little River, SC residence.
Juanell was born June 6, 1936 in the Philadelphia community in Columbia County, AR to Daniel “Ermon” Campbell and Emogene Keith Campbell. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bennie G. Dowty of Custer, SD. She is survived by her son, Bennie R. Dowty; son-in-law, Stefan T. Varner; three sisters, Lavonda “Bonnie” Bailes, Joann Payne, and Jeanette Tatom; one brother-in-law Marcus "Stick" Payne; four nieces, Beverly, Sonia, Ginger, and Connie; six nephews, David, Robert, Chad, Don, Tim, and Terry; three great nephews, three great nieces, a great-great niece, two grandpups, a grand guinea pig, and her very best friend, Anne Letterman of Slidell, LA.
She worked as a waitress, real estate agent, caregiver, and owned two business with her husband, including a welding shop and steel mill. However, her most important career was being a loving mother for over 55 years. She was also a great cook, enjoyed gardening, and was a talented painter with oil and pastels.
Her life took her many places; she called seven states home at some point.
Juanell will be cremated and laid to rest in Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery on her 56th wedding anniversary, December 24, 2019 at 10 AM. Family and friends are welcome to attend, however, there will be no memorial services.
The family requests no flowers. Instead, consider donations of time or money to any of the following in her name. A local hospice organization, a nursing home, or to Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 3061 Columbia Road 15, Magnolia, AR 71753.
