Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland on April 1, 1935, June was the daughter of the late John and Ida (Mason) Henderson.
June had a love for music from a young age. She spent numerous hours with her parents and younger sister Darla singing, dancing and playing the piano. June was also quite the fashionista; her outfits were always reflective of the current trends. June would not leave her home until her makeup was perfect and every hair was in place.
June had special lifelong friendships with her high school club of women from Western High school in Baltimore, Maryland. Later on in the 1980’s, June joined a card club where she met many more friends and enjoyed years of friendship. June was a big fan of card games, crossword puzzles and watching TV gameshows. She loved eating out and going to the movies with her beloved husband Leonard. June loved each moment spent with her friends and family, especially during the holidays. For all of those who knew and loved her, she will be greatly missed.
