Kay was a 1981 graduate of Smokey Hill High School. A very successful and career driven woman, Kay’s career began with an early entrepreneurial spirit, along with her sister Michele, owning and operating a limousine service in Denver, CO. She later worked in vehicle sales with AutoNation, twice winning #1 sales associate in the nation. Most recently Kay enjoyed day trading the NASDAQ futures and stock options, and assisting her spouse Diane with her digital marketing business. While living in Denver, Kay also enjoyed golf and skiing. Her skiing expertise was perfected to tackle double black diamond rated slopes in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
In 2015, Kay moved with Diane from her hometown in Denver to Bellaire Bluffs, FL, where they enjoyed Florida for 3 years. After having enough of Florida’s heat, Kay found her forever home with Diane in Conway, SC in April of 2019. Continuing to be an avid golfer, she actively played in the Grand Stand Woman’s Golf Association where she cultivated new friendships while enjoying the many gorgeous courses in South Carolina. Kay loved the ocean and her time watching the wave’s crash on the shore along with the pelicans and other sea birds. She was a follower of real estate trends and the latest in home improvement on HGTV. Kay loved to cook and share her culinary talents. In particular she loved creating Italian dishes with her homemade sauces, as well as lasagna & risotto.
She enjoyed watching cooking channels as well, and was always seeking out fine dining. Most importantly, Kay loved every moment spent with Diane and those memories will be forever cherished.
In addition to her spouse, Diane Zidek, Kay is survived by her sister, Michele Rossi Wallace, Bruno her beloved Boxer/Lab and her new kittens Rafa & Stetson, as well as many dear friends. Kay was preceded in death by her brother in law, Mark Wallace and mother in law, Joan Zidek.
