

Kathleen Una Greenway, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Born on July 17,1961 in Belleville, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Una Ciardella Cirone and the late John Ciardella. Kathleen was a beacon of love and compassion throughout her life.
In addition to being survived by her son, Bobby Lee Greenway (ShaNautica); she was also survived by two grandchildren and her legacy of love continues through her brother, John Ciardella
(Bobbie); sister, Eileen Ciardella Baez (Tony). Kathleen also leaves behind her cherished niece, Isabella Baez and nephew, Luis Baez who will carry fond memories.
Kathleen had an innate ability to care for others that extended beyond just family. As a dedicated caregiver throughout much of her life, she touched countless lives with kindness and empathy. She found fulfillment in helping those around her navigate life's challenges while always offering words of encouragement or simply lending an ear.
A lifelong animal lover at heart, Kathleen began taking in stray animals from a young age, a testament to both her nurturing spirit and deep compassion for all living beings. Whether it was dogs or cats seeking refuge from the world outside, or simply needing companionship within it, she opened not only her home but also her heart to them without hesitation.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach on Friday, January 17, 2025. Inurnment will immediately follow the mass at the church columbarium.
