Lawrence E. Dodson

Lawrence E. Dodson, age 91, of Calabash, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Born in Atlanta, Georgia he was the son of the late Lawrence and Trubie Dodson. He survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lois Dodson; daughters, Lizann Dodson, Kathy Dodson; cousin, Jim Bearden; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents along with his sisters, Carolyn Britt and Elizabeth Gill. A United States Army Veteran, Ed served private first class in the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Ed also enjoyed scuba diving. Ed and his wife Lois lived in Raleigh, North Carolina where he worked as a manager for IBM. Upon Ed’s retirement, the two decided to move to the coast which has been their home for 25 years. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
