Lonnette Fulcher Jones

Lonnette F. Jones of North Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully on February 23rd while holding the hand of her husband of 50 years, Larry Jones. She died of complications from Influenza A, pneumonia and septic shock, at the age of 71. Born in Burlington, NC, she grew up in Raleigh, NC where she graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School before attending Peace College. She was an Administrative Assistant with the Patrol Division of the Raleigh Police Department early in her career, and later named Property Manager of a large apartment complex and commercial shopping center.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Scott Jones and wife Amanda of Wilmington, NC, Brad Jones and wife Mindy of Austin, TX, and her three grandsons, Bryant of Grimesland, NC, Seth of Austin, TX and Tyler of Wilmington, NC.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Lonnette on Friday, March 23rd, beginning at 2:00 pm at Fat Harold’s Beach Club on Main Street, Ocean Drive. She was an avid member of the OD Shag Club and looked forward to SOS. Jimmy Buffkin will be the DJ for the event and offer up some sounds of Rhythm’n Blues and Boogie’n Blues.

Lonnette, called Wife, Mom, MiMi, Mama Jones, Gran Ma and Friend, will be forever loved and greatly missed.
