Margie Lee Buchanan Duncan

Margie Lee Buchanan Duncan, age 100, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at her residence. Born on September 20, 1926 in Gastonia, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late J. Alonzo and Vira Lee Jamison Buchanan.

She is survived by her children, Joy Yvonne Smith (Butch), Tommy Duncan, David Duncan (Jan), Doug Duncan (Donna); 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Law; brother, Steve Buchanan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, along with her loving husband of over 50 years, George Duncan; two brothers; two sisters; and her daughter-in-law, Toni G. Duncan.

A devout Christian, Margie loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed gardening and took pride in her beautiful flowers and well manicured yard. Margie had a big heart and cherished each moment spent with her beloved family and friends. She was loved by everyone who knew her and her memory will continue to live on through those she leaves behind.
