Mark was born on May 8, 1951, in Millvale, PA, the son of the late James F. and Dorothy Brennan. He was a 1969 graduate of Millvale High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Geneva College in 1973.
Following graduation, Mark began a lengthy career in banking and retired following 35 years of dedicated service in 2013. He was a life-time member of the DOH in Etna, PA and the Teutonia Mannerchor (German Club) in Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout the years, Mark loved reminiscing about his hometown of Millvale, PA and days of “how it used to be.” He enjoyed boating on the Allegheny River; playing racquet ball; working in his yard; tending to his vegetable garden to give away all his produce; and walking with his best canine companion, Rocky. Lastly, he loved a cold Iron City Beer. Following retirement, he loved his time in North Myrtle Beach where he enjoyed having Happy Hours at the pool and Sunday dinner at Ledo’s with the Ocean Keyes group.
The devoted and loving husband of Mary Ann (Leonardo) Brennan, the two were married for almost 44 years. Mark is also survived by his beloved sister, Kerry Sue (Mike) Glatz of Reserve Twp., PA; and he was “More than just an uncle” of Torey (Amy) Glatz and great uncle of Noelle Glatz; as well as many relatives in-law.
Mary Ann would like to thank everyone who helped and supported them the past few years through Mark’s difficult journey. Memorial contributions to CurePSP would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held in the Pittsburgh area and arrangements will be announced.
