Born and raised in Westport, Massachusetts, to the late Joseph and Dora Campbell, Mary Jane graduated from Anna Maria College with an undergraduate degree in Music and a Master’s degree in Business.
While residing in both Rutland and Webster, Massachusetts for many years, her accounting career path led her to working for several companies in the Worcester area.
With a wide array of interests, she entertained audiences in Worcester County Light Opera, volunteered as a substitute music teacher in the Rutland school system, closely followed her sons’ soccer careers, was a dedicated fan of the New England Revolution soccer team and sang in church choirs as well as at Old Sturbridge Village. She also enjoyed trivia, volunteering for her local churches and was an avid supporter of Clay Aiken and his nonprofit organization.
Mary Jane is survived by her sister, Judy Maynard of Massachusetts; her two sons and their wives, Christopher and Julie Wilson of Ohio and Andrew and Kelly Wilson of Michigan; her grandchildren Alyssa, Evan and Hadley; plus many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be set up for a later date at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Afterwards, Mary Jane and her late significant other, William Gelardi, will be laid to rest in Westport, Massachusetts.
