Today, the world seems a little darker place in the lives of those who called Marylyn, Mom, Grandma or friend. On Thursday, July 12th, 2018, surrounded by those who loved her, Ms Marylyn D. Fineran breathed her last on this earth and her first in the Land of Glory! Marylyn's life, of eighty years, was one of travels and adventure which spanned the globe, in her earlier years. In her later years, she would live a simple life, focused on her love of family and friends. Her zeal for adventure and love for others was a testament of her deep faith and love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved to share that love with others in unique ways. One such way was her own ministry titled "Cross in my Pocket". Over many years she made and distributed thousands of handmade crocheted crosses placed in a matching pouch accompanied by a short note telling of Jesus' unending love for us. Her legacy will live on in each heart touched by the love of Jesus proclaimed by such a small gesture but one that echoes in eternity!
Marylyn is preceded in life by her beautiful daughters Patricia and Cheryl and loving son Matthew. She is survived by her adoring daughters Irene , Shana, Barbara, Linda, Laurel and sons Jack and Chris, as well as her loving grandson Daniel and 20 more grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren their families. She will be sorely missed but we are comforted in knowing that her life has only begun in a place prepared for by the Master Carpenter! A place of such beauty and peace that God's word says: "But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the hearts of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9).
A memorial service will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church- 1100 8th Ave No NMB SC 29582 on Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at 10 a.m. All welcome to come and celebrate her life and home going with friends and family.
