Myra J. Deitz

Myra Juanelle Deitz, 74, of Conway, entered into Heaven on Friday, September 16th, 2016. She was surrounded by her husband and her daughters.

Juanelle was born July 1st, 1942 in White County, GA to the late Samuel Claude Cantrell and the late Blanche Wilson Cantrell.

Juanelle was one of nine children. She moved to Jackson County, NC soon after marrying her husband James Deitz, and spent most of her life in Haywood County before moving to Conway, SC a few years ago.

She loved to draw, spend time with her husband, and make her family laugh with her great jokes.

She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Regina Underwood and Kita Cantrell and her brother, Rondald Cantrell.

She is survived by her husband, James Deitz, her daughters, Beverly Best and her husband, Randy Best, of Clyde, and Karla Lankford and her husband, Bill Lankford, of Canton; grandchildren, Channing Lankford of Canton, Taylor Lankford and his wife, Starr, of Canton, and Morgan Anderson and her husband, Brandon, of Asheville; two great-grandchildren, Jagger Anderson and Taylee Lankford; her brothers, Kenneth Cantrell and his wife, Ruth, of Habersham County, GA, Charlie Cantrell and his wife, Brenda, of Habersham County, GA, and Lanny Cantrell and his wife, Linda of Habersham County, GA; her sisters, Darlene DeMore and her husband, Donald, of Bibb County, GA, and Rita Martin and her husband, Larry, of Wood County, WV; her special sister-in-law, Jean Cantrell, of Habersham County, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews that Juanelle loved dearly.

The family will be holding a private service in the upcoming days.

Juanelle was well taken care of by Lower Cape Fear Hospice Mercy Care in the end and the family would ask that donations be made to the non-profit group in memory of Juanelle.
