Nancy graduated from Lake Shore High School and went on to have a distinguished career at Detroit Edison where she met the love of her life, Paul McKay, who loved her fiercely until his death on May 5, 2019. She embraced her role as a devoted stepmother to 5 daughters, Paula Sutton (RIP), Sharon Todd, Pamela Moore, Shiela Queener and Melissa Struppa. Amid this loving family, Nancy and Paul were excited to welcome their own daughter, Katie McKay, who held a special place in Nancy’s heart.
An avid golfer, shopper, trivia player and all-around social butterfly, Nancy lived life from a place of joy. If you really wanted to see her light shine, turn on the song “Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa or anything by The Boss and she would show you how to jam! Nancy will be remembered as living her life marked by fun, strength, grace and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Nancy’s spirit of generosity and kindness lives on in the hearts of her children and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. We all can come together in gratitude for her legacy which will continue to ripple through the world in her memory.
In honor of Nancy’s final wishes, her remains will rest next to her one and only, Pauly. She is now at home in peace again.
