
Nicholas “Nick” Maglione, 93, of Little River, SC, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, in Little River surrounded by his loving family. Nick was a lifelong area resident of Trenton, NJ before moving to Little River, SC with his loving wife Sue and where he resided for 36 years.
During the Korean War, he served proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956 before he was honorably discharged after attaining the rank of First Class Airman. He then had a successful career in the auto business until his retirement.
Nick was an avid poker player and loved playing poker every Tuesday nightwith his long time friends Artie, Ron, Johnny and others. He also loved going to the flea market on the weekends so that he could mingle with people and to act as “security guard” for one of his good friends, Johnny. A special thank you to Artie’s wife, Katherine who was always there for him.
Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ann (Vigliotti) Maglione; his second wife, Sue (Waxler) Maglione; his first wife, Betty Jane (Babin) Maglione; his son, Thomas (Tommy) Maglione, his step/son, Ronald Wolfson; his brothers, Thomas and John Maglione; he is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Sandy (Maglione) and Craig Scartocci; his daughter-in-law, Pam Maglione; granddaughter, Kara Maglione; and sister-in-law, Markey Bee. Nick also leaves behind many family members and friends. We would also like to thank Sabrina and Allison of MagRho Guardian Angels who took good care of him during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nick’s memory to Gentiva Hospice and American Heart Association. There will be no public visitation. Services will be held private.
