Olga Katsis passed peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2018, after a short illness.
She was born in Bridgeport, CT, on May 19, 1934, spent most of her years living in Lordship, CT, and for the past seven years in Little River, SC. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Lukackyk Karpuk.
Olga was the devoted wife to the late Nicholas Katsis. One of her favorite memories with Nicholas was how they danced together. She enjoyed long daily walks and group exercise classes, especially pool aerobics. Keeping physically fit was a priority to her. Over the years she worked at Remington Arms, was a hostess at the Fairway Restaurant, and her all-time favorite job was being a junket representative to Atlantic City casinos with her late friend, Pat Aurora. She loved entertaining people and being entertained. Since her move to SC, she especially enjoyed traveling to CT to visit her life- long friends Margaret Katsis, Lorraine Kozloski and Janice Mayo. She was predeceased by a brother, John Karpuk, and a sister, Mary Buzzanca and brother-in-law Thomas Katsis.
Survivors include two daughters and a son: Deborah Moore and her husband Dennis and her two children Kelly and Richard and great granddaughter Nikole; Gregory Katsis and his wife Carol and their two children Brian and his wife Kerrie and great grandsons Gavin, Quinn, and Logan; and Keith and his wife Lindsay; and daughter Cynthia Brown as well several nieces and nephews.
There will be a “celebration of her life” planned at a later date in Connecticut.
