Paul B. McKay

Loving Husband to Nancy (Smith); Father to Sharon Todd (Brian), Pamela McKay, Sheila Queener (Lawrence), Melissa Struppa (David), Katie McKay and Paula Sutton (deceased) ; Brother to Joseph (Sharon), Bob (deceased) and Joan Elland (Don); Grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren died in loving care 5 May 2019 in Longs, SC.

Paul grew up on St. Mary's Street in Detroit, MI and graduated high school from Catholic Central. Shortly thereafter he started his career at Detroit Edison Energy (DTE) and moved to Livonia, MI where he began to grow his family and meet the love of his life, Nancy McKay. Out of their MI home, Paul founded a custom golf club making business he fondly called Tiger Golf.

An avid golfer and lover of good times and the serenity of the beach, Paul and Nancy moved to Longs in 1996 after retiring from DTE as a Claims and Public Liability supervisor. During his reign of terror on the golf course, he celebrated 2 hole-in-one shots following in the footsteps of his father whom he adored greatly, Alex McKay (Vivian McKay).

A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, June 8, at 11AM.
