Raymond Sessions

Raymond L. Sessions, 77, of North Myrtle Beach, SC passed away May 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, wife of 56 years, Linda Kinsey Sessions, son Ray (Karen) and grandson Hunter of North Myrtle Beach, son Joe (Lisa) and granddaughters Kinsey and Mary Nowland of Franklin, TN and many special nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by sister Gloria Anne Suite, and brothers R. Clyde Sessions, Rembert M. Sessions, Harry G. Sessions, and Tally T. Sessions.

He was born in Columbia, South Carolina and was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and the University of South Carolina. Raymond moved to North Myrtle Beach in 1973 where he was an active member of the community and proud supporter of youth sports. He coached multiple teams and was a founding member of the NMBHS Athletic Booster Club. He was inducted into the inaugural class of the NMBHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.

He was the President of Tilghman Insurance. His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing golf and cards with his many friends. His true passion was spending time with his family. He was absolutely one of a kind and will be missed by all that knew him.

Raymond loved flowers, but in lieu of, donations may be made to NMBHS Booster Club, 3750 Sea Mountain Highway, Little River, SC 29566. or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 11 at Lee Funeral Home from 5-7pm. Funeral service Saturday, May 12, 2pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in North Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
