

Reinhart L. Burdt, age 94, of Little River, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Born in North Hempstead, New York on August 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Richard and Frances (Francizka) Burdt.
Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Josephine Shaul Burdt; children, Dale Burdt (Catherine), Elaine Prieve, Kathryn Lott (Stephen); grandchildren, Charmille Prieve, Michelle Cox, Jannelle Prieve, Megan Burdt, Brian Lott, Glenna Burdt and Michael Lott.
A member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, Reinhart was very involved and active with the Loaves and Fishes Charity. He had a passion for woodworking, a hobby in which he was very talented. Another hobby Reinhart excelled in was golfing. He was an avid golfer who recently won a gold medal at the Senior Olympics in the 90 – 95 year old golfing age group in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In his earlier days, Reinhart was a dairy farmer for over 20 years in Springfield Center, New York. Reinhart went back to school in the early 1960’s to further his education and become a high school math teacher in West Winfield, New York. In 1971, he received his Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory.
