Robert John Frank Sr.

Robert John Frank, 87, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Seacoast Medical Center, with his children by his side. Born in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Helen and Herman Frank. He was the loving husband of the late Joanie Heavey-Frank.

He was a graduate of Tremont High School. Following high school, Robert joined the United States Navy serving as a member of the San Francisco Group Pacific Reserve Fleet and aboard the USS Kearsarge (CV-33). He began a successful career in accounting with Textilease Corporation retiring from Social and Scientific Systems, in Maryland. While in Maryland, he was a member of the Ski Club of Washington, D.C.

Following retirement, Robert and Joanie moved to South Carolina where they resided together until her passing in 2023. He was an avid golfer with his handicap down to a single digit. Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He believed in friendships and kept in touch with high school classmates, former Navy shipmates, ski club friends, golfing partners, as well as those he had most recently met and befriended.

Surviving are his children, Natalie Steen (Sean), Cynthia Capaldi (Jeff), John Frank (Kelly), Margaret Tabb (Brian); grandchildren, Sam, Molly Jo, Jack, Franklin, Zackery (Blair), Ethen, Abbygale, Charlotte, Henry; and his great-grandchildren, Lucy and Grayson. Robert is also survived by his brothers, Joe Frank, Raymond Frank, and Eddie (Kathy) Frank. He is predeceased by his sister, Sally.
