

Longs, South Carolina – Ronald Steven Jacoboski, age 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday February 10, 2024. He is survived by his bride of 56 years, Susan Czarny Jacoboski.
Ron was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on February 28, 1946, son of the late Agnes (Janus) and Vincent P. Jacoboski. He lived in Longs, South Carolina for the past 7 years and in Naugatuck, Connecticut, for 50 years.
Ron graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1964, and received an Associate’s Degree from the University of New Haven in 1966. He began his career for Scovill Manufacturing in Waterbury, Connecticut and retired from Archway Cookies as an independent distributor. He had an honorable discharge from the United States Army National Guard in the state of Connecticut in 1971.
He was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck, Connecticut. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge as well the Southbury Rod and Gun Club. Ron enjoyed golfing and great friendships at the Hopbrook Golf Course Tuesday night mixed couples league. Although he himself never achieved the ultimate golf goal, he celebrated joyfully when both his wife Susan and son Marcus achieved their hole-in-one’s.
He leaves behind his son David Jacoboski and partner Aimee Kosenski of Glastonbury, Connecticut, son Marcus Jacoboski and his wife Stephanie of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, grandchildren Juliana Jacoboski Duncan and husband Liam Duncan of Colchester, Connecticut, Timothy Jacoboski of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Emily Frye of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Addison Jacoboski of Willington, Connecticut, and Katelyn Jacoboski of Willington, Connecticut. In addition, he leaves behind his sister Debra Dillon of Naugatuck, Connecticut, and was pre-deceased by sister Diane Croce of Melbourne, Florida, and his four great grand pups.
Thank you to all of the medical professionals involved in his care over the last few years. Special thanks to Patriot Hospice, in particular nurse Kim Chaput for her outstanding end of life care. Thank you to all of our friends and neighbors for their love and support.
