Ronald N. Rogers, 92, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on June 10, 1933, in Newark, New Jersey. Ron was the son of the late Harold and Ruth Rogers.
Following graduation from Clifford J. Scott High School, Ron enlisted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served during the Korean War. Ron and Patricia were high school sweethearts, and the two were married after his service was completed. They celebrated 69 years of marriage before his passing.
Ron retired in June 1997 as a machinist foreman with Sandoz Pharmaceuticals after a lengthy career. He and Patricia decided to move where the weather was warmer and it was “5 o’clock somewhere” more often. In September 1999, the two made Little River, SC, their new home. He always loved his “Happy Hours” just as much as he loved the beach. His radiant personality led him to many new friends. He enjoyed many hobbies including tennis and pickleball, but gardening was always his passion. He is a member of the American Legion Post 186 in Little River, SC, and was always proud of his country. Ron loved his family, his friends, and everyone who knew him loved him as well.
Surviving Ron is his wife Patricia, his son, Glenn Rogers (Sandy), daughters, Debbie Maffei (Tom), Kim Utter (David); grandchildren, Carissa Utter, Deanna Iseppi (Jon), Kaleigh Arce (Anthony), Matthew Maffei, Kevin Utter; and his great-grandchildren, Carter and Luca Iseppi. Ron is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Rogers.
A celebration of life will be held this December in New Jersey.
