I want to extend my condolences to Lee's family.  It was good knowing him in high school, and in recent years, renewed contact on the Internet. He was a very nice person to know.

Family and Friends, you have my deepest sympathy.  I became acquatained with Lee several years ago.  Lee was a Southern Gentleman who always shared some part of his life from earlier years in our conversation.  When I became aware that Lee was sick again, my husband and I rode out one afternoon to his home.  I would have enjoyed visiting with him had I known where he was admitted.  I will miss my friend Lee.  With great respect, Lynn and Bill Rodgers.

You will always be a great friend and I will think of you often. The concerts, the dancing, and all of the good times. You were always there for me and anyone else that needed you. I hope you knew that I was there for you too. I still have all of the crown bags that I was going to make into a quilt and the T-shirt that I have no idea where it came from (had a picture of a ship with the name Ruppert’s
Legend across the top of the ship).  I remember when I told you about it you had a big smile and a big hearted laugh. 
I wish that I could have come to your memorial,I am sure that a lot of people will truly miss you, I know that I will. You are one person that I have known for over sixty years and I know I will never forget you. Everyone loves you,Lee, and you will truly be missed!

Back in the old days of high school and horry tech, you hardly did not see us  without  being together.  there are so many memories that I will always cherish.  you was my best friend, brother and so much more.  we had great times in our day, and you will always be in my memories.  may you rest in peace.  I will miss you
