Russell Stone

Russell E. Stone, 92, died March 1, 2021 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born on October 24, 1928 in Lumberton, NC, he was the son of the late John W. and Lydia Jane Kinlaw Stone.

Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed at Parks Air Force Base in California. He was an Attorney (ICC Practitioner) for several large trucking companies spanning over 45 years. He retired in 1997 as President of Associated Petroleum Caries in Spartanburg, SC and moved to North Myrtle Beach.

Mr. Stone is survived by his daughter, Rebecca J. Gazzillo and her husband, Joseph; son, John Stone and his wife, Darlene; and granddaughters, Jessica Stone and Julia Smith. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Julia Stone.

Services will be private with the family and close friends at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 12 noon.
