

Sally Burdge, 94, of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, on July 9, 1931, she was the devoted daughter of the late Frank and Rosa DiBenedetto. Sally was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers.
Sally (Dobuzinsky, Bronson) Burdge is survived by her four children, whom she loved fiercely: Mark (Diana) Dobuzinsky of Branford, CT; George Dobuzinsky of Conway, SC; David (Olga) Dobuzinsky of New Windsor, New York; and Marianne Patterson of Conway, SC.
She is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren: Jody (Shawn) Nugent, Laura (Mark) Hanson, Robert (Ashley) Dobuzinsky, Michelle Davis, Joseph, Peter, and Andrew Dobuzinsky; as well as seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Stephanie Scarpellino.
After a long career with Southern New England Telephone Company, Sally retired to Port St. Lucie, FL with her late husband Andrew Bronson. She enjoyed the beach, warm weather, trips to the Bahamas, the arcade, and attending Bible study. She was a self taught piano player, a painter, a baker, and an amazing caretaker.
She was a devoted member of both the American Legion and the Elks Lodge, where she met and married the love of her life, Albert Burdge, who passed away in 2023.
A Mass in her honor will be held at Juniper Bay Church Sunday November 30th at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Sally’s memory.
