Sandy was born to Donald Shull and Beverly Clemens Shull on July 22, 1950. After high school, Sandy traveled from her hometown of Antwerp Ohio to Colorado, and eventually found her home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sandy had six siblings. She spoke of Jim, Mark, Greg, and the late Jerry, Dick, and Cathryn (Hamil), as well as their families fondly. Sandy also had many beloved nieces and nephews that she enjoyed the connection with them. Sandy had a longstanding bond with Gene Berry and her three children.
Sandy’s wonderfully infectious smile will remain dear to her family and she passed on so many other beautiful qualities as well. As a lover of food, Sandy enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, hosting gatherings, and creating delicious meals for her family. In her later years, she would often guide her children through the same recipes always offering up cooking instructions. She had an attentive green thumb and loved tending to her flowers.
Sandy led her life with passion, strength, and heart. She overcame many odds in life and made the most of any obstacles that came her way. Sandy was her strongest advocate, always found a reason to celebrate, enjoyed music, baseball, and the same soap operas she grew up watching. She was fun to be around, loved her pets and grand pets, and could always find a compliment for others. Sandy had a light and a presence about her, but her family remained her strongest motivator. She was the happiest entertaining and being around others, spending time at the pool, and helping however she could. Sandy’s greatest moments were as a doting grandmother. Her family will miss her dearly. It would be her most tender legacy to have those she loved speak joyfully of her and remember her for her love and light.
She is survived by her daughter, Skye Sharp whom was also her best friend (fiancée Bill Neel); as well as Donald “Michael” Richards (Jackie); and Kyle Creasey (Laura). Sandy was the loving Granny of Benjamin and Nathaniel Creasey; step granddaughter Lexi Neel; step grandson Anthony Jones (Brittany); her step great grandchildren, Sonny and Sandra.
Out of respect for Sandy’s wishes, a Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her honor to the American Red Cross who is committed to helping others in their time of need, https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation.html/.
