

Sandra "Gamma" Ballenberger Suggs, age 75, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 25th, 2019.
She was born on August 26, 1943 in Fayetteville, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Robert Thomas Moser and Flora Smith Moser.
In her earlier years, Sandra worked as a nurse at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. Later in life she and her husband Buddy opened a Tax & Insurance Business from which they retired. They lived in their dream home on the Waccamaw River before moving to Windjammer Village in Little River, SC. She enjoyed bridge and was an avid player in her community. She loved her outdoor life including activities such as watching hummingbirds feed, growing flowers in her garden and fishing. She was a member of Old Zion Wesleyan Church in Tabor City, NC. She was politically active with the Republican Party, spending time volunteering for the Trump 2016 Campaign in Myrtle Beach, SC, but most of all she enjoyed serving the Lord and spending quality time with her family. Her loving and outgoing personality will be missed by everyone.
Sandra was very proud of her three daughters, Denise Thrower (Billy) of Bluffton, SC, Pam Goff of Charlotte, NC, and Loree Ballenberger of Leland NC. She is survived by her husband Palmer "Buddy" Suggs of Little River, SC. She is also survived by her sister, Martena Haire (Randy) of Melbourne, FL and her brothers, Johnny Belk (Barbara) of Holden Beach, NC and RB Moser (Ann) of Laurinburg, NC; her grandchildren Brad Thrower (Tara), Sara Schoch (Rob), Krista Goff and Corey Goff; her great-granddaughters Caroline, Juliette, and Isabella; her nieces Michelle Denham, Christy Jordan, Jennifer Moser, Angela Moser, Shari Belk, Wendy Birchfield; her special cousin Teena Cortese; and her granddog Lolo.
She is predeceased by her late husband, the father of her three daughters, Eddie Ballenberger and her niece Julie Crawford.
Services will be held at Lee Funeral Home in Little River, SC on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Visitation with the family will be at 1 PM followed by a memorial service at 2 PM. Pastor Josh Glagola of Old Zion Wesleyan Church, Tabor City, NC will officiate.
