Sarah E. Heller, age 58, of Longs, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Born on April 14, 1964 in Santa Barbara, California she was a daughter of Nancy Kennedy and the late Burton D. Kennedy.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Frank Heller; daughter, Maggie Heller; mother, Nancy Kennedy; sister, Susan Johnson (Lee); brother, Stephen Kennedy (Sylvia); mother-in-law, Meda Heller; sisters-in-law, Chris Amburn, Sue Riedel; nephews, Jamie Riedel, Brad Amburn, Gary Amburn (Sarah) along with their children, Todd Amburn (Rachel) and their children. Sarah is also survived by numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; along with her father-in-law, Frank L. Heller and her brother-in-law, Bob Amburn.
A truly remarkable soul, Sarah was an amazing wife, mother, sister, friend and teacher. Being so patient, kind, caring and fierce, Sarah was known as the rock of her family. She was a listening ear, always offering support, guidance and a shoulder to cry on. Well-known for her sharp sense of humor, Sarah had a laugh that could light up any room. Sarah always found the good in everyone, she was an encourager to all. In her earlier years at the age of 21, Sarah was the youngest director of any cosmetology school in the state of California. A gifted artist, Sarah was full of creativity. She enjoyed making and selling jewelry. Her jewelry was once featured at an exclusive art gallery exhibit in Pennsylvania. Sarah loved reading, gardening, walks on the beach, collecting seashells and held a special place in her heart for animals.
Sarah’s professionalism and attention to detail was displayed in her work. She began her career as the office and business manager at Neilson Market in California. Sarah and her family moved to Maryland where she worked as the Executive Assistant of the Vice President of Finances for McDaniel College. They relocated to South Carolina to be with her family where she became the service coordinator for her brother-in-law at his business, Brock Cabinets in Myrtle Beach.
A celebration of life will be held at 12pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Buck Creek Baptist Church memorial hall 11483 SC-905, Longs, SC 29568.
