Shawn Hydeck

Born May 16, 1983, Shawn was a son of Mark Hydeck, Sr. and Dee Dee Hydeck. His brothers Mark Hydeck, Jr. (Ashley), Stephen Hydeck (Cathy); soulmate and life partner, Regina Lewis; beloved cat, Camo; nephew, Miles Hydeck; uncles, Chuck (Holly) Permenter, Kit (Lisa) Permenter; Chick (Karen) Permenter, Butch Hydeck (Karen); aunt, Judy Thacker; numerous cousins and many loving friends also survive Shawn. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Clinch Henry and Louise Permenter and maternal grandparents, Joe and Betty Hydeck.

A life-long Wampee resident, Shawn attended North Myrtle Beach High School. He was a longtime employee of his family’s restaurant Horry’s and State Line Pawn. Shawn loved his friends and his family and was always there for anyone who needed him. He would do anything for a laugh and always enjoyed a good dare. Anyone that truly knew Shawn, knew he had such a great big heart and would give you anything if you needed it. There was not anything he couldn’t fix and he always enjoyed doing it. Shawn had a smile that would light up a room. His contagious laugh and charismatic personality will forever leave a void for those who loved him.

Shawn loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace surrounded by light.
