A member of Trinity United Methodist, Shirley retired from the church office following numerous years of dedicated service. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing “Words with Friends” on the computer. She was the former HOA Secretary of Colonial Gardens. More than just a neighborhood, Colonial Gardens was an extension of family and friends. There were always friends dropping by to visit and she kept fresh water and treats for the neighborhood dogs.
Surviving Shirley are her children, Charles B. Wiant and Kimberly DeCosta (husband, Douglas).
The family will have a private graveside service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
