Susan “Sue” McClanahan Satterfield Dooley passed away peacefully Sunday, July 7, 2024 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, South Carolina. She was born May 10, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of Mildred Goldman Satterfield and James Satterfield.
Sue earned a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Lutheran College and a Masters in Social Work from West Virginia University. Throughout her career, she served others in school and hospital settings in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and was dearly loved by clients and colleagues alike.
