Terry Glen Stimpson, 63, a resident of Little River, South Carolina for the past two years, formerly of Garden City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Little River, SC. He was born May 19, 1957 in Amarillo, Texas to Billy Joe and Lenora Fay Stimpson, now deceased.
Terry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mamie Lorena Palmer Stimpson, sister, Debbie Pettit, his mother and father-in-law, and several extended family members.
Terry was a hardworking, God and family first, kind of man. He was passionate about his wife, children, and lived for his grandchildren Mikayla, Ian, Kallin, and Anson. Terry worked long hours so that his children and wife could have everything they needed and wanted. He was a man of strong, passionate convictions, and very rarely, if ever, put himself first. He was married to his rock, the woman of his dreams for 43 years. He was her constant friend and loving husband. Terry enjoyed going to the movies, steak dinners, and being with his grandchildren most.
He had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for his amazing talent for telling stories of his life, childhood, marriage, and fatherhood. He made his children laugh, loved to sing, loved to cook, and was meticulous about doing things the right way the first time. He did not shy away from hard work and did what it took to get any job done. He spent his life making sure those around him were taken care of and always provided for.
He was most proud of his grandchildren Mikayla, Ian, Kallin, and Anson and would do anything such as traveling non-stop to spend time with them even if for an hour or two. Terry was very excited to welcome more grandkids, by adoption, from Aaron and Sarah. He will be missed greatly by them and will live on in their stories, laughter, and memories.
He is survived by his eldest daughter Candace, son-in-law, Jason, and grandchildren, Kallin and Anson Boroos, of Little River, South Carolina; his only son Aaron, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Stimpson of Spartanburg and his youngest daughter Melissa, son-in-law Nate and grandchildren Mikayla, and Ian Williams, of Cape Coral, Florida; four sisters Kay Moorman and bro-in-law Mark, of Frisco, Texas; Karen Stimpson of Lubbock; Carla Allen and bro-in-law Brad of Amarillo; Gail Ward and bro-in-law Lyn of Denton and one brother David Stimpson and sister-in-law Loree, of Amarillo and many nieces and nephews.
