Terry Wayne White

Terry Wayne White, Sr., 77, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 28, 1949, in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Royce and Margaret McGinnis White.

Following graduation from Wampee High School, class of 1967, Terry joined the US Air Force. Following his honorable service, he attended and graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College. Terry worked with the City of North Myrtle Beach as a police officer and served as a Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem for the City of North Myrtle Beach for a total of 29 years. He was the former owner and Broker in Charge of White Realty Company, a company now owned by his grandson, Trey White.

Terry was the devoted husband of Wanda Adams White. They met when they were just teenagers and were married on March 10, 1968, in North Myrtle Beach. They were the proud parents of two sons, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Terry and Wanda were members of Risen Christ Lutheran Church.

Surviving is his wife, Wanda Adams White of North Myrtle Beach; sons, Terry Wayne White, Jr. (Lori) of North Myrtle Beach, Jeffrey Rae White (Cora) of Little River; grandchildren, Taylor Selems (Isaac) of St. Augustine, FL; Terry Wayne White, III (Stephanie) of North Myrtle Beach, Dylan M. White (Alexis) of Conway, Morgan R. White of North Myrtle Beach; and great-grandchildren, Oaklee and Lainey White of North Myrtle Beach, Theo Selems of St. Augustine, FL, and Madden White of Conway. Also surviving Terry is his sister, Carolyn Whitted of Charlotte, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Edward White.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
