Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Dawn Tornese; daughter, Christina (Tim) Treese; grandson, Killiam Thomas Treese; brothers, Raymond Tornese, John (Missy) Tornese; sister, Kathleen (Bryan) Batson and niece, India (Daniel) Martinez.
Thomas retired from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette after 36 years of dedicated service and moved to Longs, SC. Living in the Myrtle Beach area, allowed him to be closer to his daughter, son-in-law and most importantly, enjoy and treasure his grandson, sharing his love of the outdoors and fishing.
