

A 1986 graduate of Boonsboro High School, Travis excelled in football and he was Captain of the football team. He held the weightlifting record for squatting. He was an exceptional student and was accepted into the University of Maryland. Travis was an avid sports fan which included college wrestling, Ravens Football and the Baltimore Orioles.
Travis worked for East Alcoa before beginning a lengthy career with Harley Davidson. He achieved the title of Master Technician by attending school at the HD Headquarters Milwaukee. He worked in Hagerstown and Frederick MD until moving to New Bern NC to reconnect with childhood friend Laurie Jackson. In 2021 they moved to Longs, SC and he was employed at Harley Davidson of North Myrtle Beach until his death. His love for motorcycles was more than just a career as he and Laurie enjoyed riding on beautiful days.
A kind-hearted and soft-spoken man; Travis was loved by all who knew him. During his time away from work he enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with his family. Christmas was the most treasured holiday for Travis. He loved decorating his home with lights and plenty of Christmas trees. He made this holiday celebration a tradition that his family will cherish forever.
He is survived by his partner of eight years, Laurie W. Jackson; sons, Trace Burker, Zane Burker; daughter, Madeline Burker; brother, Trever Burker; sister, Melanie Bennett (Robert); several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Helen Ruth Mullins and sister-in-law, Angie Burker.
